The Director of Patient Care is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services.  The DPC establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

As a member of the Patient Care Team, you will serve as a critical liaison between the benefit of hospice services and potential patients, their loved ones and caregivers, and our healthcare partners. The Position:

Our Director of Patient Care will evaluate, monitor, and provide guidance to the Patient Care Managers. Assists Patient Care Managers in managing clinical teams. Assists in the recruitment of personnel, orientation, evaluations, and terminations. Plans and implement in-services and continuing education programs. Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team meetings. Develops and maintains strong relationships with physicians and the community at large. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and maintain compliance. He/she will assist the Administrator in the preparation and administration of the organization's budget to drive financial performance. The Director of Patient Care may become the acting Administrator in the absence of the Administrator.


  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in good standings with no restrictions in the state; Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred.
  • Three years of management experience in a hospice or related health care organization preferred.
