The Position:

The Health Information Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the patients’ medical record.  This includes maintaining the workflow task, scheduling within the electronic medical record system, and processing the medical orders, lab work, and prescriptions for the field staff.  The HIC’s handle payor source verifications and the appeal process when applicable.  In addition, the HIC provides excellent customer service by answering, triaging, and transferring all incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel.


The Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years’ healthcare experience
  • Technical Knowledge of electronic health records
  • Billing experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word preferred
