Admissions Clerk

The Admissions Clerk will be responsible for answering all incoming calls from a multi-line phone. This person must have a pleasant, professional and friendly manner. Hours will be M-F 8-4:40p.

 The Position:

The Admissions Clerk will answer and direct calls promptly, in a professional, friendly and polite manner. Direct calls to appropriate department or person and/or take complete messages to send to the appropriate department or person. Maintain a call log of all calls, outcomes and messages. He/She will carry out customer service duties, such as interacting with patients, families, and referral sources providing telephone assistance, and entering patient data. Administrative tasks such as preparation of outgoing letters, distributing and sending tickets, faxes and upload documentation to EMR.

The Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalency.
  • Healthcare experience, basic knowledge of healthcare, hospice preferred
  • Phone operator/Call Center Experience a plus
