The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for managing accurate, timely completion and submission of all the billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions of the organization. Recruits, selects, orients, and leads members of the billing and insurance verification team to successfully bill and collect for services provided to care for Heart of Hospice patients.

 The Position:

The Revenue Cycle Director provides ongoing education and training to develop staff. Creates structure and maintains billing and insurance verification across all business lines including hospice, palliative and additional businesses under the Care at Heart organization. Provides excellent customer service by maintaining positive working relationships. Organizes monthly meetings ensure billing and patient accounts records are processed. Ensures reimbursements through efficient billing and collections as well as oversees write offs.  Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. Maintains payor contracts and ensures payors are billed according to contract provisions. Drives financial performance by gathering, collecting, and reporting key billing and aging information to Senior Leadership team in collaboration with the VP of Finance and Controller. Reconciles Medicare quarterly reports produced by the fiscal intermediary with the billing information system.

The Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in health care billing and collections management preferably in operations.
  • Billing information systems knowledge required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare reimbursement/collections and medical billing.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and direct personnel
