Our vision is to transform end-of-life care in the communities we serve. We currently provide care to 16 locations across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and overall clinical operational management of the hospice. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer to develop strategic plans, policies and address operational issues that build effective relationships between the referral sources and staff to produce excellence in clinical outcomes. Partners with the VP of Clinical Operation, Regional VP of Operations, and the Administrators of each agency, and our referral sources to provide care to all hospice eligible patients in the communities we serve. 

Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position.  The CMO must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission and Vision of this organization. The individual must demonstrate personal and professional Accountability to the community, associates, physicians, and sponsors for performance that this position and its team complete.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Medicine) Required.
  • MD Required (Board certified in an approved clinical specialty required while in clinical practices) .
  • License to practice in the required state(s) with no restrictions.
  • Hospice and Palliative Care certification required.
  • Master degree in Business Administration - preferred.
  • Five years' experience in delivery of hospice services and clinical staff administration with proven success in progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership.
  • Medical staff relations, quality measurement credentialing and previous medical management experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations required.
